Be The Happiness You Wish To See In The World

We are all born with the instictual desire to be happy. We are told to pursue it and that we have the right to. Happiness is made to look like lavish houses, boats, babes and booze. However, this is far from the truth. First, in order to be happy you have to believe it is possible. In the United States Constitution we have the right to the pursuit of happiness. It doesn’t mean that it is guaranteed to be achieved. It also implies it is a journey and not some destination that you can arrive at and be happy forever. Which means its a constant task or what I like to call a habit to be happy. It is not something you can just kind of sort of try and suddenly you will always be happy. Make your attitude of gratitude a habit all the time. Again, happiness is a choice. Make it a habit to choose to be happy. You are the only person that can determine your attitude. Here is what I love about happiness. It doesn’t matter who you are, your socioeconomic status, skin color, weight, if you like purple more than pink or how much money you have because happiness is free. Everyone can access it. It is as abundant as air and water and yet very few of us are able to capture it. So here is my challenge for you. Rather than think about how to make yourself happy. What can you do to create happiness for others? How can you show others that happiness is really a choice, a decision, a frame of mind? By creating happiness for others, you in turn will be happy because one of the greatest things about happiness is that it is contagious. People are attracted to happy people. That’s why you always see the happy guy at the party is always in the spotlight. People gravitate to those who make them happy. So as you wake up in the morning and go throughout your day, no matter how hard, always be the happiness you wish to see in the world.
